View by Video was founded in May 2008 by Gareth John (President) and Paul John (Vice President), a father and son duo who have been involved with Florida vacation rentals and real estate for over 20 years.

The seeds of the View by Video project were sown over 5 years ago when Paul was actively marketing property as far afield as Spain, Cyprus, Cape Verde and of course, Florida. Gareth, a media graduate, saw the opportunity to put his skills to good use in the property market, although broadband technology was still in its infancy. The aim of the project was simple – to make the experience of viewing a property online, the next best thing to being there! This has now been made possible by the advent of high-speed broadband internet which now routinely delivers streaming media, 24/7 around the world.

Today, anyone with a computer and a broadband connection can share in this multimedia revolution.

After producing several property films around Europe, the duo concluded that perhaps Florida, with its legendary weather, fabulous homes and great scenery, would perhaps be the best place of all to base their new venture.

They were right. In 2008 following an initial trial of the technology and equipment, the creation of an affordable pricing structure and the development of additional services, the company completed 15 shoots in the first month of operation … and haven’t looked back since.

Three years on, in 2011, View by Video now has an expanding full time team based in Florida. We are proud to have completed over 500 video tours for homeowners, management companies and real estate brokers, throughout Florida.
